Organic Dog Cookies are shaped like a drumstick, about 1 1/2" in length, easy to break, and yet nice and crunchy. There are about 9 calories and dozens of wagging tails per cookie! Please be assured that the peanuts used in C&P's Organix® Organic Dog Cookies are sterilized during processing and are then tested for salmonella. Then, after the cookies are produced, they're tested for salmonella. In fact, since 2007, ALL of our pet foods and treats - Organix, Natural ULTRAMIX® and Good Buddy® are tested by an independent lab for salmonella, melamine, cyanuric acid and other toxins before being released for sale. We make no exceptions to this rule. This independent testing is in addition to tests of ingredients that enter our production facilities, and the rigorous farm-to-bowl requirements of the USDA's National Organic Program that applies to certified organic ingredients in ORGANIX products.
