Rave: Natural Ultramix Kitten Formula

I had heard about your food for a while, and nothing but good things from forums, articles, and friends. But I never thought to look for it in the stores until my youngest kitten developed what we think is an allergy to wheat and/or corn. I started looking for foods that had less of each, preferably none, and what I found was surprising. Few foods actually had no corn AND no wheat in them. It seemed everything on the market was full of it, even canned foods. Well, then I remember you guys and of course, directly on the front of the bag was "NO WHEAT, NO CORN..." that sold me. I just started using it less than a week ago, but so far it looks like my kitten is doing much better. (Her colon was inflamed, so the vet recommended a no corn diet for her). Thank you for making a product that no one else will make. It's making such a difference in her life and my life as well.

I'm not sure if you have coupons available, but if you do, please pass some my way. I don't think I'll ever buy another brand cat food after finding Natural Ultramix.

Rave: Organix Canine Adult Formula Dry & Canned

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that we tried the Organix Canine Adult formulas in dry and canned today, and my dogs won't quit following me around the house! :) We have two dogs, Casey (a female 7 year-old black lab/doberman mix) and Vicki (a female 4 year-old Jack Russell/bird dog/pointer mix) and Vicki is especially finicky. I was looking for an organic dog food, and I saw the Castor and Pollux brand at Petco today. When I fed them the dry and canned mixed tonight for dinner, they gobbled it up and looked around for more. I gave them each two more small dishes of the dry, and they ate every bit! I've never seen Vicki actually eat dog food willingly, lol!

My husband and I are more conscious of eating better ourselves and have added as many organic and all natural foods as we can, and feel it is in our dogs' best interest to do the same. I'm really glad they enjoyed the Organix dry and canned so much! We'll definitely buy it again. Thanks!

Dear Castor & Pollux, I adopted a rescued 4 year old Golden Retriever named Ginger 7 months ago. She had been kept outdoors and had had very poor nutrition. I started her on Natural Ultramix Canine Formula from the start, and I just want to tell you that it has been an amazing transformation. When I got her, a friend commented that he had never seen a "short-haired Golden Retriever". Well, she is "short haired" no more. Her fur is now long, full, and wavy... We get comments all the time on what a beautiful dog she is. We added the love, but the food came from you! I also use the Ultramix Weight Management Canine Formula for my Golden Retriever/Chow mix and the Ultramix Kitten and Feline for my kitties. They are all beautiful and healthy! Thank you!

Comments: Mr. Brown (Choc. Lab/Chesapeake mix) is absolutely ecstatic over his fantastic Castor and Pollux Goodie Box which just arrived! He is talking and barking joyously, saying "Woooo Woooo, Arruuuu"!! Mr. Brown is now absolutely certain Santa Paws lives in Oregon and not the North Pole!

We truly want to thank you for the generous gift box. The Good Buddy Jerky Stick Treats and Organix Dog Cookies (Mr. Brown's favorites) will be scarfed down in a week! The 6' navy blue leash is very handsome and appropriately phrased "It's Time for My Walk". Mr Brown adores tennis balls and the Red Rover Tennis Ball Rope Toy is perfect. Our home, upholstered furniture and carpet are very grateful for the Stain and Odor Remover spray - it is humid and rainy so the sofas and chairs smell like "wet Mr. Brown" most of the time and the carpets have muddy paw prints.

Thank you again for the super box of treats, toys and products. And...most importantly...thank you for making the healthiest, best food and treats for our beloved Whiskerkids.

Comments: Because of the recent pet food recalls and the fact that my puppy has allergies, about a month ago I switched to your Natural Ultramix Puppy Formula and wanted to say thank you for making such a wonderful product. From the very first moment I gave my black and tan dapple doxie a serving of this food, he loved it! He especially liked the dehydrated fruits and veggies (although he won't eat fresh fruits and veggies, go figure, strange dog). I just recently had him to the vet and he's right on track with his growth. He is a very hyper dog and I do feed him a little more than the max that is recommended for his age. All of my human children are grown and out of the house so I treat Harley like the prince he is and don't mind spending a little more on his food. Because of the investment I make in his healthy and wellbeing now will bring me a lifetime of companionship and love to come. Again, thank you for this wonderful product.

Comments: It has been less than a month since we started feeding the Organix Canine Formula to our Border Collie/Shepherd mix, Maggie. Poor Maggie has suffered with hot spots and severe skin allergies off and on over the past couple of years. Lately the problem has become worse and constant. Visits to the vet did not provide a solution, as neither we nor the vet wanted to give her cortisone. For years, I have made home-prepared food for my cats so in addition to trying just about every "hypoallergenic" dog food going we have also tried the home prepared diet (excluding grains and with added supplements). I determined that beef seems to exacerbate her symptoms so switched to chicken and turkey. Still her skin itched so badly that her scratching kept us awake most nitghts.

On a whim, I bought the Organix Canine Formula when I noticed that it was on sale at our local Whole Foods Market. There have been no other changes to Maggie's diet or surroundings. I am still feeding her fresh chicken, turkey and vegetables to supplement the dry food. She has shown a dramatic improvement! Her skin is clearing up and her coat is becoming shiny and healthy. She seems much happier and we are all sleeping through the night. Thank you so much! There are so many pet foods on the market that "appear" to contain healthy and beneficial ingredients but in reality that is not the case. We appreciated that your products are truly healthy ... and so does Maggie!

Comments: I have to tell you how happy my cat, Havey, is with his new Natural Ultramix Feline dry food - his fur is 100% improved and he really likes meal time a whole lot more! His fur used to be somewhat dry and "spiky", not shiny and really dull looking. Now he is a dark gray striped handsome boy and is quite happy to my delight!

A veterinarian I found on line warned that most dog food today was toxic to our pets and that we should make our own or find an organic company. Comments: My beautiful mixed breed 10 year old dog loves your Natural Ultramix Weight Management kibbles. She has had surgery on both of her back knees and cannot play her beloved frisbee game anymore. Her lovely physique has added a few pounds (haven't we all) and we vet suggested we put her on Science Diet - she hated it! We were looking for something else to feed her because I don't eat things I don't like either! We were at Petco and were searching and searching for something we hoped she might like. When we came upon your product we were impressed with all of the information on th outside of the bag and the dried fruit, we already knew she liked fruit. So we bought her a bag. Comments: I am a foster mom with the greyhound rescue. The hounds have very sensitive stomachs, especially during the stress of moving from a kennel to a house and learning all those new things that other dogs have known since puppyhood. A few dogs have had diarrhea in our living room which makes the carpet smell like a toilet to new fosters (I"ll be trying your stain & odor remover shortly!). so the cycle just continues and makes it very hard to housetrain these recently retired hounds. We were at the point of considering not fostering until we replaced the flooring in the entire house. Our newest foster, Denny, was no different - the Natural Choice we had when he arrived was recalled the following day so I bought a bag of an expensive, holistic
"for sensitive stomachs" food. He kept having enormous loose stools that stank horribly, often in the living room. Then I bought Natural Ultramix kibble. He's been wolfing it down for three days now, his stools are smaller and solid with MUCH less scent, and the best part is that he's not going on the carpet! We also had to get up in the middle of the night to let him out, and he's now letting us sleep. We're very impressed and will absolutely continue feeding Castor & Pollux to the hounds as well as to our mutt and two cats. The cats didn't like the Organix much so I switched them back to the Indoor Feline which they adore - one of them actually sits up in his "otter" begging position when I bring the food out, and he previously reserved that only for treats. Thanks so much for a great product that will keep our furry family healthy and very happy and will let the foster dogs continue learning the fun things about home life!

Comments: We started using your product, Ultramix for indoor cats, with our cat Butch when he was ill. He had intestinal cancer but we believe your food gave him a few extra months of quality life before we had to put him down in September. After losing Butch we brought Jack Frost home from a local shelter. He is a five year old white DSH. We continued using the Ultramix for Jack but were also feeding him a mix of various flavors of other brands. We would give him one pouch in the evening. He would lick the gravy but preferred the Ultramix. Jack did end up with some kidney damage from the pouches, however, after discovering that the poison is a folic acid inhibiting agent, we can't help but wonder if the Ultramix helped save Jack's life since he prefers it and your product includes folic acid and other antioxidants. We are relying on your food and will continue to do so.

Comments: I just wanted to say thank you. My dogs have thrived on Ultramix. When Ardy came into our life he was 9 lbs and very sick. He couldn't eat the run of the mill food that Chloe my other dog ate. That began our search for a better pet food. Even after Ardy got over his various illnesses it was impossible to keep his weight up. We have tried many premium and super premium dog foods, prescription foods, name it, we tried it. About 6 months ago I saw Ultramix on the shelf. Since Ardy hadn't shown much improvement on his most recent food, I figured we didn't have much to lose. I laughed when I opened the bag and saw the dried fruits and veggies but the dogs gobbled it up. After about a month and a half, his weight leveled out (16.5 lbs) and his coat started to look better. He is now a famous example of a rat terrier. People can't believe he is 11 years old. Thanks a bunch!

Comments: I just wanted to let you know how great your dog food is. I have been using Organix canned and the dry Castor & Pollux food. I lost a dog to cancer and was determined to find the most nutritional food without pesticides and I must say yours is the best. My dogs have been on it for about 2 months and what a difference. Comments: I wanted to let you know that my dogs have been on your Organix since December and they are doing great. Before your food they were on Newmans Organic and the first ingredient was NOT organic! Then before that they were both on Prescription Science Diet, one for stones, one for colitis. They are shih tzu's and Lucy my five year old has had bladder stones removed at one and very bad allergies. Charlie who is 2 had colitis and before we changed to your food, I swear they would take turns throwing up and having diarrhea. Well, that has all changed. I can't tell you the last time I had that problem with them. They love your food and eat it right up. I used to have to bribe them to eat all the other foods. Comments: I just received the bag of your wonderful dog food (Organix) I ordered. I wanted to thank the kind lady I ordered from. My 4-legged family has had a rough year. Three out of our 4 dogs were diagnosed with cancer. We lost one in June and are about to lose our Malcolm in a matter of days. Malcolm was diagnosed with bladder cancer almost 3 years ago and given 2 to 6 months to live. He endured chemotherapy and has beaten all of the odds. I have to believe his diet had quite a bit to do with his ability to fight for so long. I have done much reading and research throughout this cancer battle. Everything essentially leads to diet and, of course, exposure to pesticides etc. I made the decision to find a healthy food (which I thought I was feeding them before-IAMS) and found your brand. They love it! Our Holly has a form of Lymphoma, she is not 2 1/2 years into the diagnosis and has not slowed down one bit. Comments: Thank you for your quick response with the list of stores in my area. Just wanted to have a backup in case our regular store is ever out! We have quite a success story with our 12 y/o cat named Leona. About 4 1/2 years ago she suffered kidney failure brought on by a severe urinary track infection. The vet wasn't sure she would survive. After she came home from the hospital we had to hydrate her daily at first and then it was reduced to 3 times a week. This went on for several months and for about a year she was on a prescription diet KD which we purchased at the vet. After getting interested in pet nutrition and reading the ingredients in the prescription diet (contained animal by-products and fillers), we tried Castor & Pollux Organix Feline Formula. Leona loves it and her blood tests and urine tests show normal kidney function. She also is more playful than she used to be. She just feels great! Thanks to your Organix Formula! It is the best! I'd picked up a small can of Organix canned dog formula at Petco yesterday, and my younger dog who's been a finicky eater for all of her 3 years ate it (mixed with dry food) with an appetite I rarely see. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to be appealing, and hoping for the best, I wanted to purchase the larger can (the neighborhood Petco only has the 5.5 oz cans) which I found available for order on Petco's website. I should be receiving the case next week and am anxious to begin the new diet.
