Feeding Guide

ORGANIX Weight Management Adult Dog Food provides 100% complete and balanced nutrition for the maintenance of adult dogs. It is ideal for adult dogs with weight management challenges and dogs in their senior years.  This formula is not intended as the sole diet for growing puppies, pregnant or lactating dogs – these dogs have special nutritional needs that require a different balance of protein, calories and other nutrients.

Help your dog maintain good body condition by monitoring food intake, providing exercise and visiting your veterinarian on a regular basis. Please adjust your dog’s feeding amount using the chart as a guide. The amount will vary by age, activity level, environment and breed. Always have a clean bowl of fresh water available for your dog.

To help your dog adjust to a new diet, we recommend a gradual change. Slowly introduce ORGANIX by mixing it in with the current food over the course of 7 to 10 days, gradually increasing the amount of ORGANIX while decreasing the amount of your dog’s current diet.

We have been feeding the Organix Adult Weight Management adult dry dog food to 2 of our greyhounds for about 6 months.  SJ and Victory were diagnosed with early signs of potential kidney disease. They will be 12 years old on July 4th and they are actual littermates, rescued at different times, and are retired racers. Our vet sold us a prescription diet when they were initially diagnosed (about 1.5 years ago), but I didn't like the ingredients. I decided to cook for them but it didn't lower their levels enough to help their kidneys. After researching online new foods, I came across the Adult Less Active adult dry dog food. It has low sulfur (like the prescription diets) and low protein (but a much better source) like the diets we were using.  The ingredients are so much healthier and better for our hounds.  SJ had stopped eating the prescription diet completely and was loosing weight.  He has NEVER missed a morsel of his new Organix food and feels much better. Thank you for coming out with a food to address the needs of some very special family members that we hope to have around a few more years.
