Pet of the Week

5 years ago - I never thought I would own a dog because I rented (I had cats/guinea pigs, etc)...But I had always dreamed of having a doggy SOME DAY - but that day came waaay sooner than I had ever expected...I met my Liza's brother when he was 9 weeks old where I work (at a vet's office) - I knew that moment I was meant to have a girl from that litter but the owner of her brother thought that all dogs were spoken for (I found out that evening only one girl left - lucky me!). That was a Tuesday - I drove to West Virginia from Pittsburgh and had my LizaJane by Saturday of that same week. YES...she is perfect. She does NOTHING that she shouldn't do (other than beg, but I guess I'm to blame for that). She is truly the dog of my lifetime...named long before she was even a seed in her mama's belly. 5 years later I still look at her in wonderment and amazement - telling her that 'I can't believe I have a real doggy'....I believe she was picked for me and brought here 'for me'. She doesn't need me as much as I need her. Oh and the cats...WELL they think she IS the cat's meow! The petsitter comes by 'just to say hello' to her during the day sometimes...because she's such a wonderfully behaved doggy...
She is my darling little woof woof....with the best smellin' ears this side of the Burgh....
Liza's favorite thing in the whole world is the 5" pressed stick - she absolutely MUST have one in bed with us - even if it's just to lay her head on Not all the stores carry them - so we have one store where I buy the entire rack. If they don't have the 5", I buy the 10" and saw them in half...just as tasty. She also loves the Good Buddy cookies too...(any flavor will do, but peanut butter tickles her fancy the most).
