Pet of the Week

Oscar has been with us for 1 month now. He came to us through 'Cairn Rescue USA' and all the way from Florida to Seattle. We had filled out an application online, and submitted 4 references, and finally had a home inspection. After months of waiting, Oscar found us!
He was in a backyard breeder situation where he lived outside in a kennel with many other dogs. Oscar's foster mom in Tampa put him on a Delta Airlines flight, and after a long day, he finally arrived in Seattle to meet his "forever family" Mark and Aimee.
Having never met before, it took about 15 minutes for us all to fall in love with each other. Oscar is, by some miracle, well adjusted, house broken, sweet and just plain wonderful! He fits right in with big and small dogs. He recently found a love for boating and swimming, and he is very fond of frisbee. He has a giant basket of toys, but his favorite toy is still the little squeaky dog his foster mom gave him before his big trip West.
Oscar, Mark and Aimee are all going to 'Dog College' now to learn some basics. We fill our pockets with Castor and Pollux Biscuits for clicker training. It is very educational for all of us, but we think Oscar is going simply for the treats! He will do backflips for his cookies!
Oscar loves his Wet Nose Rawhides and Organix chow! He is just a fun loving little man, and he has added so much joy to our family. We are so lucky to have him!
