Pet of the Week

Ricky is a silver dapple dachshund who came to us through a private adoption.  He was purchased from a pet store as a gift, and the reciever found him to be too much work so at 4 months old, he was adopted from them by my husband and I.  He just turned 1 in March and he's the biggest mommy's boy that ever lived!  He sleeps with me in bed, waits in the bathroom while I take a shower and lays on my feet at my computer desk...he's never more than a few feet away and is always full of kisses and love.  He has 4 cat brothers and sisters, and 7 dog brothers and sisters!  In another month, he's going to be tested to become a licensed therapy dog, like our beagle.  I know he'll pass - he loves people and other dogs!   With 9 dogs (8 dachshunds and 1 beagle), I need to purchase with cost in mind, but I am not willing to compromise their health with poor nutritive treats or fillers and chemicals. I am so glad to have found the Castor & Pollux Natural  Ultramix brand. I never buy less than 2 bags of the Cheese Dog Cookies and I can barely get it open before they're climbing all over me. We've purchased them twice now and plan to again and again.
