Pet of the Week

    We found a kitten on Nov 11, 2005 curled up next to the tire of our truck trying to stay warm. He was so weak and cold that he didn't move or make a sound when I picked him up. I put him in a box with a blanket and didn't expect him to make it through the night. In the morning I found the box "empty" and the little guy hiding under the edge of a cabinet in my wash-room.

     The next day I tried to brush the mud out of his coat and ended up giving him a "mini" bath, then got him to drink some "kitten replacement milk".

     On the third day we saw a vet. I was told that I had found  a 4-week-old long-haired gray tabby (possibly a Maine Coon) weighing in at 3/4 of a pound. He was under-weight, under-nourished and at one time his left back leg had been broken.  The vet thought this possibly happened at birth.

      Even though I am very allergic to cats we decided to keep him. He is now 9 1/2 pounds of pouncing energy. We named him Lucky,  but we've decided that "WE" were the lucky ones. Lucky has brought so much love, laughter and fun to our home...we can't imagine our life without him. Lucky is an Organix Organic Canned Feline Formula connoisseur!
