Pet of the Week

Daisy was a fan-belt kitten. She was found by my local humane society inside the engine of a truck, she had a broken leg as result of the moving fan belt. Daisy then went into surgery and after a full recovery, I adopted her. Unfortunately, years later, Daisy developed osteomyelitis (a nasty bone infection) in that same leg. To save her life, a decision was made to amputate her left-hind leg.

While in her adult years Daisy thrived on only 3 legs, in her old age, it has slowed her down a bit. To assist her in throughout her senior years, Daisy has a special wheelchair. This cart is very new to her and offers her encouragement, so we reward her with plenty of your treats. She'll do almost anything to get her paws on your organic goodies!

Despite her physical limitations, Daisy is happy and lives an extraordinary, high-quality life. She enjoys toys, being brushed, sleeping in her bed(s), eating grass, supervised outdoor adventure and a surplus of treats from Castor Pollux!
