Pet of the Week

Maggie is a rescue dog we adopted when she was 1 year and 1 month. Despite her past, she did very well with training and soon became a playful, well-socialized member of the family. However, she was quite chronically ill - dry and flaky skin, hives, and chronic intermittent vomiting and loose stool. We took her to the vet on countless occasion and finally received diagnoses of food allergies and ulcerative colitis. We tried a number of brands of kibble as well as a home-made diet, but her tummy would still get upset on a near weekly basis. Along the way, we found Castor and Pollux and the Adult Organix, and Maggie loved it - she's been eating it steadily for the past few months, hasn't had any additional colitis flare ups, and has a nice coat, clear skin, and lots of energy!
