Pet of the Week

Our dog Zoe is almost 13. She is a big breed dog, an Akita, although she's not as big as she was when she was younger. She hasn't had many problems with her hips -- until this year. She has been very active and playful with my son and other dog until about 2 months ago. Then she became less active, began sleeping most of the time, was incontinent, and in pain.

We started giving her Glucosomine/Chondroitin and aspirin. She seemed to feel better, but her appetite went way down. We feared we would soon have to say goodbye to her. My mother-in-law suggested we try "Organix" canine adult can food to see if that would perk Zoe up. Wow! She gobbles it up! She gets up to eat, has more weight and muscle now and is more active, if not playful.
